A resident who needs no assistance is deemed to be independent. However, if a resident is in need of assistance with daily activities of living or more complex forms of assistance, we can meet those needs.
To ensure every resident is functioning at a safe and well cared for level, we assess prior to move-in, annually thereafter and as-indicated.
We can assist with:
- Bathing
- Incontinence
- Escorts
- Dressing
- Transfers
- Reminders
- In-room food service
- Medication supervision
This is our residents home and should their need for assistance increase, we are here to provide that service. We meet with the family to coordinate and implement the additional care as there is a fee charged for each level.
We also have the capability to be supportive in the event a resident is at end-of-life and hospice is called in by the family. We find that frequently a resident will desire to receive hospice care here at their apartment in Colonial Lodge. We are sensitive in this time when comfort and familiar surroundings are so important. We do all we can to accomodate these desires.
